We have never done a guardian home before. We are considering trying it...
We welcome guardians in other states as long as you are willing to help with transport when needed.
OUR GUARDIAN HOME PROGRAM
At PooBear Newfypoos we believe that every dog deserves to have a forever home with a loving family.
All of our dogs are part of our family and go in and out of our home.
A Guardian Home is a permanent home for one of our breeding males or females. Becoming a Guardian Home gives you the opportunity to have one of our puppies at NO COST as a forever family member and his/her breeding career will last (3 litters or up to the age of 5 for females & up to the age of 6 for males)
We also offer 1 and 2 litter contracts for a fee up front.
Our guardians receive a small incentive with each litter and those guardians who also want to whelp and raise the litter to 5-6week will receive a bonus incentive.
PooBear Newfypoo will retain ALL breeding rights and ALL Puppies produced by Male or Female during the guardian contract belong to PooBear Newfypoo.
As a Guardian Home you will be required to cover the normal expenses of owning a puppy including annual exams, vaccines, food, training, etc.
We will pay for all breeding related costs including health testing.
Becoming a Guardian Home is not for everyone, This is not a get a free dog gimmick this is a business agreement and commitment. You MUST be willing and able to follow these requirements:
Be willing to teach basic commands such as sit, stay, lay-down, and leave it.
Be willing to socialize puppies. This is very important!
Puppy must be an indoor pet and never left unattended outside or left in a room, porch, garage or shed that can be escaped from. We crate train our dogs and expect our guardian's to provide a safe home for our beloved babies.
Feed a quality food.
All other dogs in the home MUST be fixed.
Provide regular exercise.
Willing to let us PooBear Newfypoo visit your home.
Contact us (PooBear Newfypoo) immediately in the event of a serious illness or accident. If an accident occurs please take him or her to the vet immediately!!!
Send a copy of all vet visits to PooBear Newfypoo
Must not allow he/she to mate with any dogs other than dogs from PooBear Newfypoo.
If you are a guardian for a female dog, you must be willing to drop her off for up to a week while she is bred. Then drop her back off 1 week prior to her whelping date. She will stay with us until the puppies are weaned, If you are a guardian to a female and want the litter raised in your home we offer a incentive after all puppies have been sold.. If you are interested in keeping a puppy from the litter we can work with you on that as well.
If you are a guardian for a male dog, you must be willing to drop him off or meet with us and he will be with us for 5-7 days for breedings unless arrangements are made ahead of time for PooBear Newfypoo to pick him up.
We are also open to co owning males with other breeders.
You must be able to communicate with PooBear Newfypoo, about scheduling testing, vet care, Vaccinations, mating, whelping, and anything else breeding related.
